"An Evening with the Arts" will be presented by Deer Lakes School District featuring the works and performances of the students' from the District's Fine Arts and Industrial Arts Departments.

Members of the community are invited to visit Deer Lakes High School on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to see the displays of artwork from students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. On display will be photography, silkscreen, wood and metal, clothing projects, ceramics and jewelry.

The "Empty Bowls" Soup Sale will take place in conjunction with "An Evening with the Arts." Empty Bowls is a grassroots effort by artists and craftspeople in cities and towns across the country to feed the hungry in their communities. Purchase a hand made bowl (crafted by Deer Lakes students) filled with homemade soup for a donation of $5 for students/$10 for adults. Proceeds will benefit the West Deer Food Bank. The sale will take place in the Family Consumer Science Suite Room 112.
