Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS)

The Pennsylvania Department of Education has developed the Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS). PIMS is a collaborative effort of the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Local Education Agencies (LEAs) across the Commonwealth. The Deer Lakes School District is your LEA. PIMS is a statewide longitudinal data system that will efficiently and accurately manage, analyze, disaggregate and use individual student data for each student served by Pennsylvania's Pre-K through Grade 12 public education system. The data will be used for the Deer Lakes School District's compliance in the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act. It will also be beneficial in transferring accurate student information from school to school in the Deer Lakes School District and from district to district. It is very important to have an accurate profile of your child so that informed decisions can be made regarding your child's education.
