Welcome to the Deer Lakes School District. As the superintendent of schools, it is my privilege to manage a dedicated staff of experienced educators and administrators. It is my goal to furnish them with the tools that will continue to provide the highest level of quality education to our students and to our community.

Recognizing that change is the only constant in business and industry today, I, along with a committed board of school directors and staff, feel that change in the schools must also take place. Our educational system must keep up with business and industry.

Our students must be knowledgeable in today’s technology and be prepared for the challenges of the future. With this in mind, our district will continue to undergo renovations that will include expansion, remodeling and restructuring of schools. Changes that are necessary in order to meet the challenges of educating our children for tomorrow’s needs.

Today, all of our class rooms are equipped with leading-edge computer technology in order to meet our students’ future needs. The Deer Lakes teaching staff, on a continuing basis, is receiving extensive training in the use of new techniques and technologies as teaching tools, with internets and intranets providing access to constantly changing information and our curriculum is being revised to provide additional innovative opportunities for our students.

By incorporating cost-effective management, state-of-the-art technology, and educating our teachers in the use of new techniques and technologies, Deer Lakes School District is continuing to meet challenges and changes necessary to build the future of our students.
