Solomon named Extra Effort Award

Congratulations to Deer Lakes senior Josh Solomon, who today was recognized by KDKA-TV | CBS Pittsburgh as this week's Allegheny Health Network Extra Effort Award winner.

The three sport standout captains the Lancers football, boys basketball and boys volleyball teams. Solomon also carries a 4.5 GPA and scored an astounding 1560 on his SAT. Additionally, Josh is the president of the math and robotics clubs.

Bob Pompeani was on hand today to present Josh a check for $200 on behalf of Allegheny Health Network. The segment will air on the Feb. 22, 2017 six o'clock news at approximately 6:40 p.m.
