The WPIAL has announced its newly realigned sections for boys and girls basketball for the next two seasons.
The boys basketball team will play in Section 3 of the 28-team Class 3A where they will be joined by Burrell, East Allegheny, Shady Side Academy, South Allegheny, Steel Valley, and Valley.
The girls basketball team will also compete in Section 3 of the 23-team Class 3A. The Lancers' new girls basketball section rivals will include Carlynton, Derry, East Allegheny, Shady Side Academy, South Allegheny, Steel Valley, and Valley.
