Hello! My name is Candy Lafko. I am the Title I reading teacher at Curtisville Primary Center. I have taught at Deer Lakes since 2014. Prior to Deer Lakes, I have worked as a Literacy Coach, Curriculum Facilitator, and have taught at all elementary grade levels.
I believe that all children have the ability to be successful if provided with the correct tools for learning. Instruction should occur in an engaging and caring environment so each child is motivated to always try their best!
I am married and have lived in the district since 2007 where my two daughters enjoy going to school. I spend my free time watching my girls play soccer or at our cabin boating on the lake. I also like to take walks and read!
