Distinguished Alumni Award
The Deer Lakes School District is seeking nominations for its Distinguished Alumni Award. The purpose of this award is to honor graduates of the East Deer - Frazer, West Deer and Deer Lakes School Districts who have made a valuable contribution to society either in his/her personal or professional life.
Persons nominated, as a “Deer Lakes Distinguished Alumni” must meet the following criteria to be considered for recognition.
Must be alumni of the Deer Lakes School District or former East Deer/Frazer School District or West Deer School District who graduated a minimum of ten (10) years prior to the date of the presentation.
Distinguished Alumni will be honored for outstanding contributions made in their chosen profession and include area such as business, education, journalism, law, medicine, science, athletics, performing or visual arts, and public service.
Characteristics given primary consideration are a record of academic achievement, as well as having provided a meaningful contribution to the service of others, professional and/or business achievements and accomplishments, continuing to emphasize self-improvement and life-long learning, and community or civic consciousness.
This award will be given annually by the district as a way of recognizing the many accomplishments of its graduates. For more information please contact:
