My name is James Koprivnikar and I am a math teacher at Deer Lakes Middle School. I have taught in the district since 2005. Deer Lakes High School was my first professional job after I graduated from college. I worked at the high school for approximately six years before joining the middle school.
Other Interests/Activities:
I have been a part of the Deer Lakes Baseball program serving as an assistant coach for the Junior Varsity and Varsity programs since 2005. I find that it is a great way to get to know students outside of the classroom setting and also helps me meet students that I have never had the opportunity to teach. The baseball program has expanded by competing in a fall baseball league that I also have been a part of since its inception.
I also enjoy fly fishing, archery, exercising, programming, reading, traveling, and visiting friends and family. I am always excited to learn new skills or activities.
