Profile

My name is Jason Machajewski and I am a wellness teacher at Deer Lakes Intermediate Center. I have taught in The Deer Lakes School District since 2006 in both Special Education (Math and Language Arts) and Health and Physical Education. I was also a Paraprofessional at Deer Lakes for the three years prior to becoming a teacher. Before that, I worked at The Highlands School District as an In School Suspension Teacher at the High School.

Assignments and Activities

Our class focuses on being WELL and understanding WHY it's important to be WELL. Our curriculum consists of four main pillars: physical, social/emotional, nutrition, and understanding the human body. East Union Wellness Education will consist of classroom discussions on these four components while also applying these components in practical age-appropriate activities.

All Wellness Class Days

Assignments will be posted on Google Classroom.

Please have students wear comfortable clothing for all Wellness days. This includes both Health and Physical Education days. Students should also wear tennis shoes.
