Hello! My name is Sherry Soxman, and I am your child's 3rd grade math and science teacher at East Union Intermediate Center. I have been with the Deer Lakes School District since May of 1999. I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and I later received my Masters of Curriculum and Instructional Education from Gannon University.
I have lived in Moon Township my entire life, and I am still living in my childhood house! My daughter Abby (18) is a freshman at Slippery Rock University studying to become a physician's assistant, and Katie (15) is a 10th grader at Moon Area High School. My husband Dustin and I have been married for 20 years. He was born and raised in Deer Lakes and currently teaches 7th grade English in the North Allegheny School District.
I absolutely love teaching in this district...I wouldn't change it for the world!
