Welcome skiers and snowboarders!
We will be scheduling trips to Seven Springs and Hidden Valley again this year.
The ski club is open to students in grades 6 – 12. No prior skiing or snowboarding experience is needed. Lessons are mandatory for beginners on their first trip and available for others upon request. A minimum of 2
adult chaperones, with at least 1 being a teacher, and up to 50 students can go
on each trip.
Students can sign up for trips in advance as early as they wish.
A determined deposit or full
payment must be paid when you sign up.
Payment for trips should be a check made payable to: Deer Lakes High School Activity Fund.
All students are charged a nonrefundable
bus ticket deposit unless a trip is canceled by the club organizers. Students depart after school and return to
the High School between 11:00 pm and 12:00 Midnight.
Students must arrange their own ride
home.

Club and Trip Policies
Behavioral Expectations
Students must attend school
on the day of a trip to be eligible to go on the trip.
Students serving an in or out of school suspension on the day of a trip are not permitted to attend the trip for that week.
Inappropriate conduct brought
to the attention of club organizers / chaperones by Seven Springs /
Hidden Valley Ski Patrol may
result in disciplinary actions in school and suspension from the club.
Trip Conduct
Students must sit in
designated seats according to trip chaperones.
Changing of clothes is NOT
permitted on the bus. Clothing must be
changed before getting on the bus or at the resort.
Eating is permitted on the
bus but the bus must be cleaned upon return to the High School.
Throwing of ANYTHING
on the bus will result in school discipline and suspension from the club for
the remainder of the season and possibly into the next season.
Foul, abusive or
inappropriate language will result in school discipline and suspension from the
club for the remainder of the season and possibly into the next season.
Students caught in possession
of or using alcohol, tobacco, weapons or illegal substances will be reported
immediately to the appropriate authorities.
Students MUST report
at scheduled check-in / departure times (NO
EXCUSES) or be suspended from
the club for the remainder of the season and possibly into the next season.
Students are to inform trip
chaperones of any injuries while on a trip.
Students are solely responsible for all equipment used – OWNED OR
RENTED.
Students are not permitted to
leave the resort without written permission AND a face to face meeting at the resort with a legal parent
or guardian and a chaperone.
