High School End-Of-Year Letter

March 31, 2021

Dear Students and Families:

The past year has greatly influenced how we function and operate at Deer Lakes High School.  Not only have there been noticeable changes within our building, but we have also been required to adapt how we host extracurricular events and recognize the achievements of our students.  As we progress into the last few months of the 2020/2021 school year, it is our desire to host the major activities and events that highlight the high school experience of our students.  Although these events may take on a different appearance as we follow the guidelines set by the CDC and the Allegheny County Department of Health, we are determined to allow our students to experience a sense of normalcy as the school year comes to a close.

Please review the following highlighted events and tentative dates for the remainder of the school year:

Again, it is our goal to host these events in the safest possible manner.  As the CDC and Allegheny County DOH update their recommendations, Deer Lakes High School will adhere to those guidelines.  In order for us to host events, we must have the cooperation and patience of our students and their families.

We appreciate your continued support as we enter the final months of the school year.  Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us for additional clarification and support.  The faculty and staff at Deer Lakes High School wish you all a pleasant and relaxing spring break.

Sincerely,

Mr. Patrick Baughman
