Dear Parents and Guardians,

At Deer Lakes, we are dedicated to providing a high-quality education for the 2025–26 school year that prepares students for success in whichever path they take after graduation.

This year, we continue to focus on our Learner Profile, which highlights:

  • Creativity
  • Communication
  • Collaboration
  • Empowered Citizenship
  • Wellness

Please take a moment to explore our updated district website and social media posts, designed with easier navigation and improved access to resources. And remember, most district information and updates can be found on ParentSquare.

We are also committed to supporting the well-being of all students through:

  • School-Based Mental Health Supports
  • Highmark Caring Place
  • Care Solace
  • Allegheny Health Network Chill Mobile
  • Wesley Spectrum Family Services – Child & Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program
  • School Counselors, School Psychologist, Social Worker, and Mental Health Liaisons

In addition, our schools will continue implementing programs that promote wellness, safety, and a positive school culture, including:

  • SWPBIS (School-Wide Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports)
  • Second Step
  • Signs of Suicide
  • Hope Squad
  • Rachel’s Challenge
  • #StandTogether
  • Safe to Say Something

We are proud to partner with families through initiatives that strengthen communication and safety. The continued use of ParentSquare will help streamline updates, while Bus Patrol and StopFinder will enhance the transportation experience for students and families.

Your support and involvement are essential to student success. Together, we can create a positive, safe, and productive learning environment for all. Please reach out to your child’s teacher or school administration if you have any questions or concerns.

Wishing all of our students and families a successful and rewarding school year!

Sincerely,

Dr. Janell Logue-Belden
