LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR DLHS SENIOR STUDENTS
These are local scholarships and are only offered to Deer Lakes High School students.

HARD COPIES OF THESE SCHOLARSHIP DOCUMENTS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE IN THE SCHOOL COUNSELING OFFICE.
NOTE: The majority of these scholarships require that the applicant is ENROLLED in a college, university or trade/technical school and proof is required & must be attached to their scholarship application. Proof of enrollment must be a deposit paid receipt or confirmation from the college/school that the student has paid their deposit & are therefore officially enrolled. Acceptance letters are NOT proof of enrollment!! They are just the college/school offering the student admittance to their college/school. The student must then take further steps, such as paying their deposit, to actually be enrolled.

Deer Lakes Community Foundation Scholarships
DEADLINE: 3:00 PM 4/24/24
- Must be ENROLLED in a college/univ./tech/trade school for Fall, 2024 – proof is required
- In addition to filling out the application, you must also type an essay on the specified topic.
| Between 8 – 10 seniors will be awarded anywhere from $250 - $1,000 each | DEADLINE HAS PASSED

Deer Lakes Education Association Scholarship
DEADLINE: 3:00 PM 4/24/24
- Must have a cumulative 3.0 or better GPA
- Must be ENROLLED in a college/univ. for Fall, 2024 – proof is required
- Must be majoring in Education
- In addition to filling out the application, you must also type a 200 – 500 word essay on the specified topic.

Gladys M. Hess Memorial Scholarship
DEADLINE: 3:00 PM 5/21/24
- Must be ENROLLED in a college/univ./tech/trade school for Fall, 2024 – proof is required
- Must have financial need
- Must complete a Personal Statement
- Student must complete a Financial Aid Authorization Form & then have the Financial Aid Office of the College/Univ/Tech./Trade school that they have enrolled at complete their portion & return it to the School Counseling office by the deadline.

Knights of Columbus – Robert Krauland Memorial Scholarship

- Must be going to major in some aspect of the medical field

- Must attach your resume
- Must type a 100 – 400 essay/statement of purpose

- Must be going to pursue a career in one of the following professions after graduation:
