Hello! My name is Taylor Yuhasz and I am one of the School Counselors at Deer Lakes High School. I see students with the last names M through Z. This is my third year working within the Deer Lakes School District, and I come with acceptance, empathy, and compassion. Prior to working at Deer Lakes, I worked as a counselor at a high school near Charlottesville, Virginia, however, I am not new to the Pittsburgh area! I grew up in a small town south of the city and now currently reside in the North Huntingdon area.
Growing up, I knew I wanted to work with children and in the field of education. Once I started college, it didn't take me long to realize that the counseling field was the perfect career path for me. I attended The Pennsylvania State University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. After that, I continued my education at California University of Pennsylvania and received a Master of Education Degree in School Counseling.
