Please join us in welcoming Mr. Nick Amrhein to the Deer Lakes School District!

Mr. Amrhein attended Montour High School and graduated from Point Park with a Bachelors in secondary social studies education. He has been a teacher for three years with the last two at Baldwin School District.

"I teach social studies, and I enjoy this area of education because of the storytelling aspects of history," he said. "I am excited to join Deer Lakes because I have a deep passion for history and am ecstatic to teach it!"

What do you enjoy when you’re not teaching?

I coach baseball for South Fayette High School.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

My superpower would be to teleport because I dislike driving.

What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movie is Catch Me If You Can.

What can you reveal that people might not expect about you?

I worked as a bat boy for the Pirates during high school and college.

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

The top of my bucket list is to go to a Super Bowl that the Steelers play in.
