Hello my name is Katie Mangieri and I am a Special Education Teacher for students in Life Skills grades 6-8 at Deer Lakes Middle School. I have taught at Deer Lakes since 2005. Prior to Deer Lakes I worked at Highlands School District as a Learning Support Teacher for grades K-3.
I believe that students learn by their experiences. Providing experiences in and out of the classroom exposes students to a variety of learning opportunities that go beyond paper,pencils and books.
My husband Mike and I reside in the Deer Lakes School District with our four children. We are very happy our children are Lancers and feel that Deer Lakes is a diamond in the rough. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with friends and family, cooking and yoga.
