Positiion Volunteers are unpaid adults who work with a school or a program, activity or service.  They often have direct volunteer contact with children and are responsible for the child’s welfare.  Some commong examples of Position Volunteers include field trip chaperons, tutors, coaches, activity advisors, recess or library aides.  All people wishing to volunteer at Deer Lakes must apply through the link on the left-hand side of this page labled "Volunteer Clearances." 

Guest volunteers are adults who voluntarily provide a service to the district, without compensation and who works directly under the supervision and direction of a school administrator, a teacher or other member of the school staff; and who does not have direct volunteer contact.  Our guest volunteers assist in classroom celebrations, school assemblies, or school concerts; read to students; collect tickets at performances or sporting events; work concession stands; participatie in “Career Day,” etc.  All volunteers interested in helping with our extracurricular activities must apply through the links found on the left-hand side of this page labled "Volunteer Clearances."
