I began working for the Deer Lakes School District in February 2023.  I have 19 years experience as a Special Education Teacher. Three of my years experience took place in the Baltimore City  Public School System and 15 years took place with the Pittsburgh Public School System as a  Learning Support Teacher, Reading Interventionist, and a Wilson Reading Itinerant Teacher working at various schools within the district serving all grades K-8 in the  multiple positions in which I served.  

Within my years of teaching experience, I have learned to work well with others to better cater to the needs of a  diverse population with a wide range of learning styles.  My classroom environment conveys high expectations for my students  with regard to achievement and behavior. I maintain an organized, accurate  system for monitoring and reporting individual student achievement and skill  progress. I communicate with parents about their child’s progress on a regular basis.  

I live in the district with my husband and two daughters. Both of my daughters attend Deer Lakes Schools. We are LANCER PROUD!
