Hello! Welcome to another exciting school year here at Deer Lakes High School. This school year I am teaching AP Psychology. Previous to Deer Lakes, I have taught in Ambridge, PA, Baltimore, MD, and Norfolk, VA. During my 15 years of teaching I have taught subjects including U.S. and World History, American Government, Psychology, and Special Education.
My academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies/Education from California University of PA and a Master's Degree in Special Education from Towson University. I also have several credit hours toward a Master's Degree in American History from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. I enjoy the educational setting and look forward to the challenges and rewards of a new school year!
My wife and I have two young children (boy-4 and daughter-2) and as you can imagine most of our time away from our jobs is spent enjoying their childhood. My family owns a Tree Farm in Washington County which we use for recreational purposes including: hunting, fishing, hiking, or just relaxing in a hammock. I have travelled to interesting places such as England, France, Austria, Germany, Israel, Egypt, Peru, and Canada but most look forward to exploring the great places that we have in our own country.
