Leanne Scholl

Profile:

My name is Leanne Scholl and I am a Music teacher at Deer Lakes Middle and High Schools and East Union Intermediate Center.  I currently teach Strings in grades 4 through 12, 3rd grade General Music, and 5th grade Chorus.  I have taught at Deer Lakes since 1999, and started the Strings program that same year.

I am a former member of the award-winning Duquesne University Chamber Singers and the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh, and have performed in numerous musical theater productions.
One of the best experiences of my life was performing with the Chamber Singers on a 6-week concert tour of Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia, and Russia in 1997.

I strongly believe that music is a vital part of our childrens' education.  I am passionate about music and hope to foster not only musical literacy and performance ability, but also a love and appreciation for music.

I live in the Penn-Trafford School District with my husband, three children, and three cats.  I enjoy singing, playing the cello, attending concerts and movies, shooting pool, bowling, and spending time in nature with my family.

Assignments:
