Hello! My name is Karen Schwarzl, and I am a teacher at Deer Lakes High School. I have been with the district since 2002 in many capacities. I was hired into the Social Studies department in 2007, but detoured into Special Education, beginning as the GATE teacher at the middle school. I have been blessed with a curious nature that has inspired a love of learning. It has been an unusual route back to the high school, but as they say, 'The joy is in the journey!'
