Honors Algebra II:
For this class, you will need an organized notebook, a pencil with a big eraser, and a TI-84 calculator. Bring a positive attitude, and a willingness to explore ideas and make mistakes. Be ready to share your ideas with your group.
One large assignment will be given for each section. Several "monitoring progress" assignments and projects will be used to check for understanding.

No homework is given for this class. If your child is bringing work home, it is because s/he is not finishing the work assigned during class that we reasonably expect them to finish. Please use the extra time at home to do activities that promote academic achievement: eat dinner together, go outside in the fresh air, pursue independent interests, and get your student to bed at a reasonable time.

AP Computer Science Principles:
All programming will done on Chrome books.
This class is 50% programming, and 50% technology topics. These include digital information, the internet, encoding, encryption and big data.
Code.org is the online platform for the course. It includes an app lab that uses JavaScript as the programming language, various widgets and simulators, and an assessment suite.
Students are expected to take that AP exam, scheduled for May 15th at noon. Significant time is spend reviewing released sample exam questions.
