My name is Jamie LaJevic.  I am a member of the Science Department at Deer Lakes High School.  I currently teach Biological Forensics, Honors Anatomy and Physiology, 9th grade Biology, and AP Biology.  I previously taught Life Science at Somerset Junior High School. I have been teaching at Deer Lakes since 1999. 

 

I believe that education should be a lifetime goal.  I hope to spark a curiosity and love of  Biology in the minds of my students so that they will share my desire to continue learning as they embark on the journey of life.

 

This year I will be facilitating accessibility to my physical classroom through the utilization of an adjunct Google Classroom.  Hopefully this will build a stronger bridge between students and classroom resources.

 

On a personal note, I am married with two children who are also students.  I understand the difficulties and struggles with homework completion. I enjoy being outdoors with my kids, dogs and chickens.
