My name is Julie Cousley, and I am a Third Grade Language Arts teacher at East Union Intermediate Center. I have been teaching third grade at Deer Lakes since 2003. Prior to teaching third grade at Deer Lakes, I was a substitute for the district for two years. I received my undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and my master's degree from Gannon University.
I love teaching! I can't imagine doing anything else. Every day is an adventure, and I enjoy every second of it! Helping my students grow throughout the course of the year is the greatest reward.
My family lives in the district, and my son is a junior at the high school. I am proud to be a graduate, a lifelong resident, and an employee of the Deer Lakes School District. I truly believe that Deer Lakes is the best place to be!
